Abstract We introduce this symposium of articles by explaining the notions hard and soft law, reviewing UN developments on business human rights in light. move to a more detailed discussion existing particularly state duty protect, before examining examples fulfilment that via domestication (especially judicialization) norms for business. also note many pitfalls contemporary approaches, how proposed legally binding instrument might address those pitfalls. conclude with commentary date have failed grapple corporate power, issue which animates need debate first place, introducing follow.
